About

I create functional art out of my award winning nature photography (eventually I’ll make a list as far as recognition, but for now you'll just have to believe me), as well as work that can be hung on the wall and enjoyed. I make matted, framed & metal prints, note cards, magnets, pendants, stickers, puzzles and coasters out of images I create with my camera. So far, you’ll find many of my prints here online and I’ll be adding more of my work and different types of products in the future.

In college, I had a photography professor say to me, “As a photographer, you bare your soul.” That has always stuck with me and I think about it often when I'm out in nature, creating images. With my mirrorless camera nowadays (I’ve used 7 or 8 cameras throughout my 18 year photography career), I capture the world the way I see it. With what interests me and my take on a subject, and unintended, have in fact bared my soul. My intention is for my images to suck the viewer in and look as if the viewer could be at the place in person. I do only slight adjustments during post after capturing the image in camera. I want to create a sense of peace and well being for a viewer, to ease daily anxiety or pressures; to take the viewer emotionally and mentally elsewhere. I always wish to create work that is meaningful, not only capturing beauty, but also taking the viewer there to my subject by trying to capture an essence of a place or thing, by the way I saw it.
